Education in Denmark

In Denmark it is mandatory to be in school until the 9th year of school education, but a
majority of pupils between ages 16 to 18 or 19 usually go through the "Gymnasium", which is
University-preparatory. The starting age for compulsory school education is 6 or 7 years
old, with an optional pre-school year which nearly every child attends.
